Who We Are
The Machine Behind the Madness
Meat & Teeth Productions is a Tennessee-based creative and technology collective — the umbrella under which every unconventional idea, impossible device, and impractical passion project earns its place in the world. We are engineers, artists, investigators, and builders. We don't pick a lane.
From handcrafted paranormal research instruments to AI-powered laser art, from professional music production to electronic circuit innovation, from online trivia platforms to original software built from the ground up — Meat & Teeth Productions exists because the people behind it have never been able to stop building things. That has never been a problem. It has always been the point.
"I wrote my first program in 1988 and haven't stopped since. Every device we build, every song we produce, every investigation we conduct — it all comes from the same obsessive drive to create something that didn't exist before."
— Benjamin
What We Do
Our Pillars
A proprietary line of field investigation instruments designed to take paranormal research seriously — multi-sensor platforms that capture, analyze, and interpret environmental data in real time.
Original art and custom commissions produced through a proprietary AI-powered depth processing pipeline. Work that sits at the intersection of precision engineering and visual craft.
Proprietary applications built to solve problems that existing tools don't. LaserDepth Pro, CircuitMind, Trivia Twist — built from scratch, released when ready.
25+ years of professional audio engineering and mixing. Original productions and session work across genres, built on a lifetime of accumulated craft and a hard-won ear.
AI-powered party games and interactive platforms. Including Trivia Twist — an adaptive consequence-based trivia experience designed for people who think they're smarter than they are.
Custom embedded systems and electronic device innovation for niche applications. We build the instruments that don't exist yet because the work demands them.
The People
The Founders
Benjamin Qualls
Benjamin is the engineer and data scientist behind Meat & Teeth Productions. A Mathematics graduate of the University of Tennessee with VolsTeach certification, a programmer since 1988, he brings rigorous analytical thinking and a builder's instinct to everything the company creates. He maintains an extensive personal electronics and fabrication operation, programs across multiple platforms simultaneously, and approaches every project — from paranormal instrumentation to software development — as an empirical problem to be solved.
For over 25 years, Benjamin has worked as a professional audio engineer and mixing engineer, accumulating credits and a hard-won ear for sonic detail. He co-founded Stony Clay Station Pottery in 2008, spending twelve years running markets, managing wholesale accounts, and putting handmade Tennessee ceramics in front of people who needed them — before leaving to pursue the next thing.
His professional background spans financial crime analysis, quality assurance, and learning and development — work that rewards the same precision and structured thinking he brings to every device he builds and every investigation he runs.
He is the engineer who took Jesse's founding ideas and built them into working reality — the instruments, the software, the data frameworks, the technology. His paranormal research instrument, the Besjee Box, is one of the most sophisticated investigative devices currently in development by an independent researcher.
Jesse Qualls
Jesse Qualls is the co-founder of Meat & Teeth Productions and the creative and human heart of everything the company does. A deeply rooted East Tennessean with a rare combination of discipline, intuition, and emotional intelligence, Jesse is the person who makes sure that what we build is not only functional — but meaningful.
Her early career as a pre-professional ballerina gave her something that no engineering curriculum can teach: the kind of precision, physical discipline, and performance instinct that only comes from years of doing something beautiful under pressure. That foundation shapes everything she does today — the attention to detail, the work ethic, the quiet insistence on getting it right.
During the COVID-19 pandemic, Jesse transitioned into virtual assistant work, becoming a steady, reliable presence for businesses and entrepreneurs navigating an unstable world. She managed communications, operations, and organizational systems for clients who needed someone they could genuinely count on — and delivered. Her ability to anticipate needs before they're spoken and communicate with clarity under uncertainty made her exceptional at it.
Jesse is the originator of Trivia Twist — the concept for the adult party game that would become one of Meat & Teeth's signature software projects, complete with consequence tiers, player intelligence tracking, and AI integration. She also planted the seed for what would eventually grow into the Besjee Box, the company's flagship paranormal research instrument. The name itself is hers. The direction was hers. The soul of it is hers.
As co-founder of ParanormAF, Jesse is the spiritual and intuitive force behind the initiative — the one who brings the human element, the empathic presence, and an almost claircognizant ability to read a location and sense what deserves attention. Where Benjamin approaches the unexplained as an empirical scientist and engineer — building instruments, collecting data, designing the analytical frameworks — Jesse grounds the work in something equally essential: the innate understanding that some things must be felt before they can be measured. She is the reason the investigations have soul. Benjamin is the reason they have data. ParanormAF needs both, and it was built that way by design. She is also a driving force behind Paranominals, a broader platform dedicated to exploring unexplained phenomena with the same balance of intuition and rigor that defines everything she touches.
At Meat & Teeth Productions, Jesse leads media and marketing — shaping how the company presents itself to the world, managing creative direction, and ensuring that the story we tell is as carefully crafted as the things we build. She is the one who reads the room. She leads through awareness, not volume. And she is, in the most essential sense, the reason any of this makes sense to anyone outside the workshop.
Our Philosophy
Built Different
Meat & Teeth Productions exists in the space where rigorous engineering and genuine curiosity overlap — where a scientist who builds paranormal research tools is not a contradiction, but a natural consequence of caring deeply about what's actually true.
We believe that the best devices are the ones you build yourself because nothing off the shelf does what you need. We believe that art made with lasers and algorithms can still be deeply human. We believe that if you're going to investigate the unexplained, you should bring something capable of actually measuring it — because rigor is its own form of respect for the unknown.
Everything under the Meat & Teeth umbrella shares a single origin: two people who started dreaming and looking for ways to make the unexplained have definition, the dream of being and making the change you want to have in the world, and never found a reason to stop.
